Twitter is kind of great and kind of a cesspool all at the same time. (Probably because it’s the Public Square for humanity). For those wondering where the Elon vs. Zuck cage match idea came from, you might want to scope out Threads, the new “Twitter Killer” micro-blogging app by Meta.

Threads, is officially billed as “an instagram app”, basically meaning you will use your current IG profile to access this new platform instead of having to start from scratch. Which is great news because it will automatically pull in your instagram audience as well. Now you can write short form content and updates that your current instagram followers will be able to see and react to. As DJs this can be really cool because it will allow clients and potential clients to get to know us a little deeper than current pics and videos. (just not to too deep)

Now, before you delete your Twitter account and jump ship, you need to realize big companies try and compete with existing platforms and FAIL miserably - as was the case for Google+ and Mixx (Microsoft’s Twitch knock-off). Don’t remember those? There’s a reason. Zuckerberg however, seemed to have found a Hack by linking it to the Gram. As of press time of this newsletter, Threads already had 10 million signups in the first 7 hours!

We support new apps and platforms, especially if you feel like you “missed the boat” on TikTok, Youtube, IG, Twitch, etc. And especially with TikTok possibly being banned? Holy moly. Threads officially launched yesterday so hop into your app store and get in on it early. (10,000,000 users in one day)
